Venue Dressing Terms and Conditions 

Definitions and law

The contract is the document or documents that set out these conditions and all other details about your agreement with us.

“We” and “Us” “Owner” and “Our” mean the seller/supplier of the goods

“You” or “Your” or “Hirer” means the hirer of the goods

The “Goods” mean all goods to be hired by us to you

The “Recipient” means the person, firm, company, corporation or public authority to whom the goods are delivered, when it is not you. These conditions exclude any terms and conditions you may have put forward, except where we have agreed to any amendments or other conditions in writing.

General Conditions

All items remain the property of Love Sweet Love.

Prices include 1 set up at your venue. 

Fitting at the venue will normally be on the morning of the event, unless another date is agreed on booking. 

Subsequent days will be charged at a daily rate unless a special agreement has been arranged prior to the event between the Owner and the Hirer.

Please note that chairs and tables to be dressed are to be in their correct location ready for fitting.

Our spandex lycra chair covers are designed to fit most banqueting type chairs, if you're unsure whether your venue's chairs are suitable please ask. We are unable to cover chairs with arms.

Please note once in place, the candy cart & backdrop can't be re-located/moved.

Our items are hire items with many items being used items, please be aware that our chair covers may have small, barely noticeable marks especially around the feet/ground area,  and very small holes as a result of wear and tear.

Prices quoted are for one days hire only, excluding collection which is normally the day after the event.

Booking

For chair covers we require a deposit of £50 to reserve your booking, this deposit will act as your security deposit and your loss/damage and will be refunded in full once all goods have been received back and checked for damages/losses. Please note that all dates will only be provisionally booked until the deposit has been paid or we receive payment in full. Also note that in the event of your cancellation, this fee cannot be returned.

For hire packages incl centrepieces the bond is £100, for hire of the candy cart £75 and for hire of the twinkle backdrop £100.

Payment

We require payment in full no less than four weeks before the event.

Cancellations

Refund of deposit will only be paid if the order is cancelled within 2 weeks of booking.

If for any unforeseen reason we are forced to cancel your order then you will be notified by email and all deposits, payments made will be refunded in full.

Last minute orders

We are able to cater for last minute orders; we class last minute orders as any orders placed with less than four weeks before the event date.  Last minute bookings are subject to availability and we require payment in full plus payment of bond.

Prices

We reserve the right to change our product prices without notice. Once the holding deposit has paid the total order value will be honoured and will not be subject to change. Quotes given by email or telephone may be subject to change on price or availability until the holding deposit is paid.

Hire

The hire period is 24 hours ordinarily, unless otherwise stated. We offer free delivery within a 25 mile radius of the Howden Clough, WF17 area. Delivery charges will be added to quotes if the venue is outside of our delivery radius, these charges will be worked out once we have a location/venue.

Changes to your order

We appreciate that you may need to change your order due to a number of reasons, should this happen we require you to notify us within a reasonable time period, all alterations will be subject to availability.

Loss/Damage

A loss/damage deposit is required; this will be returned if the order is returned undamaged. Our damage/loss deposit is taken at the time of the booking, and the following replacement charges for items are as follows;

Bay Tree - £25

Birdcage - £15 each

Butterfly/round silver sash clip - £1.00 each

Candy Cart - £50+ depending on assessment of damage

Candy Cart glassware - £5 each

Chair Covers – £5.00 each

Chair Covers, Ruched - £10.00 each

Chair sashes – £1.50 each

Diamante brooch - £2.00 each

Fishbowl - £10.00 each

Flower for chair cover - £1.00 each

Loss of key for the postbox - £10 each

Martini Glass, large - £30 each

Martini Glass, small - £10 each

Postbox  - £100

Red Carpet - £75

Twinkle Backdrop - £50+ depending on assessment of damage

Vintage suitcase - £40

Wedding card trunk/birdcage - £25

Wishing well  - £75

Missing items or damaged items will be charged at the full replacement value, we will not accept any substitute replacements. Should you be charged for any damage you may request by email, phone or written communication that the goods be returned to you, this must be within 14 days of being informed by us of the charges. If you wish to have the damaged goods returned to you this will be done so at your own cost. Should we not hear from you within the 14 days then the named items will be disposed of.

We expect items to be returned soiled, what we deem as unreasonable damage is any permanent stains caused by food, mud, footprints, candle wax, colouring pens, crayons and mildew, we also ask that no bubbles are used whilst sat or stood near our chair covers as they stain and the stains are permanent. Any burns or pulls in the fabric will be automatically charged at a replacement cost.

Please note that if a venue cannot locate hired items and this results in us having to make a return journey for collection, the cost of this travel will be charged at 40p per mile.

Centrepieces

Standard centrepiece hire includes water beads/crushed glass with bear grass or diamante drops plus lights or butterflies plus tealights. All include standard flowers, gerbera, rose, lily. Larger flower heads or larger arrangements eg large hydraenga, lily bouquet, rose ball and fresh flowers are not included in standard hire and so bespoke arrangements may incur an extra fee.

Candy Cart - Food Allergies

We shall not be held responsible for food allergies of the Hirer or their guests. All chocolate, dipping items, sweets and other foodstuffs may contain traces of nuts or other allergens. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to inform their guests that these may be present.

Liability

Love Sweet Love accepts no liability for any injuries or damage to any persons or property arising from any items under hire. This contract is governed under the laws of England and Wales.

Insurance

It is your responsibility to ensure that the hired items are covered by that of your own insurance or the venues insurance with regards to public liability risks. Love Sweet Love will not be liable for any claims made by any persons for injuries or damages caused by or in conjunction with the hired items, including our fitting service.

Samples

Sash samples are available on request. If you require a chair cover sample, this will be subject to a £10 charge incl postage.

Food & Drink Terms and Conditions

General Conditions

All items remain the property of Love Sweet Love.

Due to the weight of the equipment, venues must have a parking space available.

Please note it is the hirers responsibility to cater for guest numbers, knowingly under catering for the amount of guests may result in the hire period finishing early.

The venue must provide a sturdy table, at least 4ft wide, with tablecloth and access to an electrical point for the chocolate fountain. We may require more than one table if hiring multiple items.

The candy floss machine should be located in a well ventilated area due to the heat from the sugar potentially affecting fire sensors, it is the hirers responsibility to arrange this with the venue and Love Sweet Love cannot be held responsible if the candy floss machine needs to be turned off due to issues.

Food Allergies

We shall not be held responsible for food allergies of the Hirer or their guests. All chocolate, dipping items, sweets and other foodstuffs may contain traces of nut or other allergens. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to inform their guests that traces of nut or other allergens may be present.

Booking

£50 non-returnable deposit per machine is required to secure your booking.

Payment

We require payment in full no less than four weeks before the event. Payment can be received by bank transfer or cheque to S Brooke, 19 Beverley Gardens, Howden Clough, WF17 0JG.

Cancellations

If for any unforeseen reason we are forced to cancel your order then you will be notified by email and all deposits, payments made will be refunded in full.

Cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the event, will result in loss of deposit/security bond. Cancellations made 4 weeks or less prior to the event will result in full payment.

Last minute orders

We are able to cater for last minute orders; we class last minute orders as any orders placed with less than four weeks before the event date.  Last minute bookings are subject to availability and we require payment in full (plus payment of any bond, if required).
